By treating an agent like any other material system: a documented purpose and boundaries, human approval before consequential actions, every decision and tool call logged, and evaluation before each release. For APRA-regulated entities, that evidence maps onto information-security and operational-risk obligations (CPS 234 and CPS 230). We build these controls into the agent from the start rather than adding them before an audit.
An agent is production-ready when it's reliable on real data, not just impressive in a demo: it has clear limits on what it can do, it's tested against an evaluation set before every change, its actions are logged and traceable, and a human signs off on anything consequential. Most agent projects stall between demo and production; closing that gap is the work we specialise in.
